Over a decade ago, we made the decision to NOT SELL Pure Integrity Candles through conventional national retailers, including the large big box stores.
We wanted our prices to be competitive with typical paraffin/petroleum based candles on the market without sacrificing quality. The costs of making our candles are higher because we use BETTER QUALITY raw materials and MORE FRAGRANCE. In order to keep prices down, we decided to sell our candles through our own retail locations and our website. This avoids pricey markups through conventional retailers.
Over the years, several large national retailers have contacted us to place our candle line in their stores and attempted to convince us to cut costs by reducing quality which would allow them to sell our candles with higher profits. We’ve refused!
I think you will be glad we have stood firm to our original intent of providing an amazingly scented healthy candle at a great price. These select retailers share our vision in offering our candles at an affordable price not forcing us to cut costs so they can discount our candles.
Are paraffin candles really harmful to my health?
There is some debate over this question. Commonsense would certainly lead you to believe that burning any petroleum product indoors is not the healthiest thing in the world. Well, paraffin wax is literally one of the by-products of petroleum oil when making/refining gasoline.
Now, we are not saying that a single candle is going to kill anyone, but if there is a healthier alternative available, why not choose it? I wasn't sure I was going to like this one when I received my order as it smelled very odd when just smelled but when I burned I like the light fragrance but not when it gets thick in the air- i.e I have to open the door to the bedroom. I don't think I will order it again as it smell almost like a sickly sweet smell if that sense, its more of a bitter chocolate smell not a good pure chocolate and mixed with the cherry its too much. I burn my candles in my bedroom and they have all filled the room with scent and burn very well, I am very happy with the company and the candles; however, I think this one may be better for a larger area where the smell is more dispersed in the air.
Things you should know...Cherry candles smell like almonds to me, Chocolate candles turn me green and Valentines Day isnt on my radar. There was almost no chance Id enjoy this scent. Still, I was curious. Guess what? Cordial Cherry is amazing! Its so fun for a Valentine theme and would make a great gift for your sweetheart. The chocolate isnt bitter but its also not over the top syrupy sweet. The cherry peeks through, just like biting into a cherry cordial candy. It just makes me smile when I smell it! Howd you do it Pure Integrity? ;)
We are new customers and we LOVE Pure Integrity candles!!! What were we doing with our lives before we found you?! First of all, we are used to pretty strong scented candles, so we made sure to pick candles that were 4 or 5 out of 5 on the scent power scale provided.

This is my favorite from the 4 I purchased. Its just a hint of chocolate and cherries. Wonderful! And I love how clean these candles burn. I won't use anything but soy (or the battery flameless), but once in awhile you like that true candle flame along with a good scent. I will definitely be back for more, but I can tell these are going to last a long time, as they say, they burn evenly too, not that big hole in the middle with wax all up the side of the jar just wasted. Great candle, wonderful scent!

This is one of my favorite PI scents. The throw is fantastic and you can smell the warm spices and the sweetness of the icing. Good thing candles don't have calories or I would be in serious trouble with this one. If you like bakery scents this is a must have. You will not be disapointed!
When you are thinking about a box of chocolates! Great for Christmas and Valentines day! You can smell the chocolate and the cherry. Burns clean and fills at least 800 square feet with vaulted ceilings.

Delicious, elaborate scent with a nice throw. At first I got a lot of almond of all things. But the rum is definitely there and this scent is one of my favorites!
